DOMESTIC ALTERCATION - 1100 BLOCK OF W. POPLAR ST.
4/7/2013 - 8:43:00 AM

On 4/7/13 @ 8:43 A.M. -  WYBPD was radio dispatched to respond to a residence located within the 1100 block of W. Poplar St., for a physcial domestic altercation.

@ 8:45 A.M. - WYBPD arrived on scene and met with the 911 caller, also a resident of this single family dwelling, and she reported to the patrolman that her adult daughter was actively fighting with her adult male paramour .  The patrolman was able to hear a loud and boisterous argument and specifically heard a male's voice screaming and swearing at a female.   He then heard a female yell "get of me!"

The patrolman then ascended the stairs, observed blood splatterings on the floor and then located separated these two subjects.   The patrolman observed a long deep cut or slash to the male's arm and blood spurting from this wound.   This wound was approximately 12 inches in length and was in need of medical attention.  The male was visibly intoxicated and irate with police and was immediately placed under arrest for outstanding warrants and he was then transported to York Hospital by a White Rose Ambulance.

The female was identified as Jacy CHANTILIES, 25 Y.O.A., B/F, to be residing within the 1100 block of W. Poplar St., West York Borough.  The male was then identified as Ronald GLADFELTER, 30 Y.O.A., W/M, to be residing within the 700 block of W. Philadelphia St., York City.

CHANITLES reported that she was upset with GLAFELTER because he was trying to wake her up for work and that he was now upset that she was now going to be late and became irrate when CHANTILES "got in his face."   She then admitted to the patrolman that she cut GLADFELTER with a box cutter and after their physical altercation.   It was further determined that this slashing/stabbing occurred when she was NOT defendeing herself at the time she deployed this box cutter.   In the presence of her mother and the patrolman, CHANTILES stated to her mother "Mom, I know that I am your daughter but am wrong."

When asked by the patrolman why she cut GLAFELTER, CHANTILES reslied, "I was just mad, I was really mad."

WYBPD also observed and then seized narcotic paraphernaila belonging to CHANITLES and GLADFELTER.
